It's the second album for this Norwegian band the first has been released in 2001. MIKROMIDAS offers here a more accomplished and moving music, typical of the Scandinavian progressive trend. With dominant keyboards analogic ones, hammond organ, mellotron...despite its two guitarists, the band creates a moody and sensible music, solemn, fresh and sincere, in a more personal way than before. Their music is still close to Anglagard or Anekdoten, probably with a similar King Crimson influence and melancholic moods, but MIKROMIDAS also presents more straightforward, rock moments. Faunus is an excellent vintage prog album, well played and produced, fresh and new.
